I was born and raised in Paulding Ohio and will probably always be an Ohio State Buckeye fan. I joined the Navy shortly after high school and spent the next 22 years of my life as an Air Traffic Controller. It was a very rewarding career but the best part of my time in the Navy was meeting my husband. While stationed in Corpus Christi in 2006 we both retired. To start our second careers and be closer to his family we decided to settle in Montgomery Texas where we have built a cozy log home. I am proud to say that I am now a Dallas Cowboy fan as well. Being a country girl and cancer survivor I appreciate the simple things in life and take nothing for granted. The environment has been a concern of mine for many years and when diagnosed with cancer in 2001 it really hit home. I look forward to helping keep Montgomery County beautiful and healthy for this generation and those to come.
